Day 3 "We love New Jersey and wouldn't want to live anywhere else." Meredith, from our sushi class.(weirdest thing we've heard on the trip thus far) -
Day 4 "Do you think it's ok we left our passports in the lockers?" "Oh, sure, sure." One of us trying assure the other that our only ticket home is in a coin-operated locker, at the train station. -
Day 5 "If you want to sample fruits and vegetables, I'll take you to my supermarket." Kumiko, our guide, when we asked to sample fruits and veggies from the area. -
Day 6 "If this was in the US, it would be a drug den." Dave, talking about the underground tunnels/shops/restaurants attached to the subways - and he's not wrong. -
